Surfision (Singapore) Pte Ltd is a privately owned Singapore based company incorporated in early 2001 which specializes in software Research and Development (R&D) and applications design for wired and wireless products.
Surfision is currently working with many telecom operators (telcos), mobile operators and internet service providers. (ISP)
The main core competency of Surfision is its patented technology for multimedia scalar compression algorithms which allows compressed content to be scaled further thus opening tremendous amount of opportunity in the area of internet, telecommunications, video and audio (voice and music) transmission. Surfision has around 20 people spanning across the Asia Pacific, Europe and USA. Surfision’s main products are QuikSurfer™, QuikMMS™ and QuikBOX™. All the products are centered around Surfision’s multimedia scalar processing technology.
QuikMMS is another innovative and unique technology where MMS photo content are dynamically processed and re-scaled so that MMS content can be delivered faster to the MMS mobile handset. QuikMMS uses Surfision’s state-of-the-art TransCoding and TransCompression technology to reduce MMS images by up to 10X (ranges between 2X to 10X). This product is designed specifically for mobile operators.
QuikSurfer is a breakthrough solution which transforms a normal 56kbps dial up connection to virtually broadband like speeds. Users will be able to surf the web from 2X up to 10X (average 5x) faster than normal using this proprietary Server software product. QuikSurfer also works with ISDN, DSL, Cable modem, VSAT, T1, wireless LAN 802.11, IRDA, GSM, GPRS, CDMA and 3G connections. Its advantages is that it gives users faster web surfing and also reduce communications infrastructure cost. Some places cannot get DSL or cable service and this product resolves the LAST MILE problem today. For mobile networks its like having 3G on a 2.5G system.
QuikBox is an enterprise server version of the QuikSurfer product and designed for accelerate corporate intranet LAN up to 10X. QuikBox accelerates corporate ISDN, T1, digital leased lines, DSL, and VSAT satellite internet connections.
QuikPipe – Internet International Gateway Bandwidth Maximizer,
QuikEmail – Email and attachment accelerator with built in auto update Anti-Virus,
QuikVideo – Realtime MPEG 1/MPEG2 quality low bitrate video streaming solution for Video on Demand and Digital TV applications.
QuikPhone – Realtime low bitrate VOIP (Voice over Internet) and video conferencing system. Operates even with 56kbps dial up networks.
